France: Gozi (EDP) praises Bayrou as a leader of balance and dialogue

“The appointment of François Bayrou as Prime Minister is a wise and forward-thinking decision by President Emmanuel Macron,” stated Sandro Gozi, MEP, Secretary-General of the European Democratic Party. “Throughout his extensive political career, François Bayrou has proven to be a man of dialogue, balance, and vision—qualities that are essential to navigating the complex challenges France faces today.”

Gozi added, “This appointment also fills me with particular pride as Secretary-General of the European Democratic Party, which Bayrou has led as founder and president since 2004. His steadfast commitment to bridging divides among political forces and embodying the spirit of the Fifth Republic positions him to play a crucial role in fostering cooperation across the political spectrum. Bayrou will undoubtedly work to promote unity and cohesion in a fragmented parliament.”
